You Have Answered All of My Questions

Hola, Cómo está???
This week was another great week!! So many funny things and amazing things!! First,  apparently the average weight gain of my mission for sisters is...40 pounds hahahaha and I thought Sailors was bad! So yes I am going to come back like a palomita (popcorn). We get fed here a lot and its actually amazing food! They use this stuff they call "crema" aka straight up fat lard and they just pound it on everything! So yes,  don't except to recognize me when I get home!

So on Tuesday we had exchanges and I got to go with Hermana Root for the day! She and I came here together for the Mexico MTC sooooo yes we both don't know any Spanish! We were both just dropped off by our trainers and left on bikes for the rest of the day! Oh my goodness, I have never sweated so much in my life!! We taught two lessons of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which actually went really well! Before we went into the lessons I tried to wipe all of my sweat off but it was legit impossible! Then once we make it into the door they all come hug us and kiss our cheeks...I felt so bad because we were so gross! Then they immediately go "do you need water?" Hahaha! It was so embarrassing! While we were biking in the middle of the day a man yelled at us, "you need pants ladies" hahaha he could probably see our garments.  But..I guess they just look like biking shorts so we're good!

This week we taught Monica the Plan of Salvation and the reason for Church! While we were teaching the plan of salvation she said, “You have answered all of my questions! I have wondered where my Mom and Dad are for years and if they can become clean!" It was an incredible feeling! Later in the week we taught about the sacrament. She told us she wants to come to church but her husband won't let her! He is a die heart Catholic! During the lesson she said she went to his church once and felt nothing but here she feels something! Ahhhh it was literally amazing! It's honestly so cool to teach the gospel! When I look at Monica I can see her potential! I can see her in Relief Society and fitting in so well in the ward, so it kills me to hear that her husband wont let her come! She is an amazing woman and I love her dearly!

The people here are amazing!! They loveeeee Jesus and the Bible!! Hahaha they know their Bible that's for sure! Every time we knock a door I get so excited because I can see their potential and I feel so much love for them! Whether they are kind or unkind hahaha! Knocking is actually my favorite but that's probably because I'm new.  It's so much fun! But if I had a dollar for every time someone said, "yo soy cathlotico" I would be a billionaire!! Hahaha but thankfully they are more of a Easter and Christmas Catholic!

Love you all!!  Have the best week!  Try to serve someone everyday!!  HC
