YA'LL THE CHURCH IS TRUE!

YA'LL THIS CHURCH IS TRUE!  

That's literally all I have to say! haha  This week was amazing!! 

Ok so Tuesday we planned on having a drop lesson with Monica because she hasn't come to church yet...but it ended up being amazing!! I figured out why people say missions are so hard.  It's because the people are so amazing and you love and care for them so much!!  I love this lady with all my heart!! So y'all, I was bold, it was terrifying. I said in my horrible spanish, “We cannot come back if you don't come to church.”  Let me add before I said this she said herself that she needs to come to church because God has given her all of these amazing things in her life. I then bore my testimony and then asked, “Do you believe this church is true?" It was terrifying!! But she said, "Yes!!”  She is the most amazing woman!! She has also read many chapters in the Book of Mormon and prays often! After every lesson with her I always ask my companion exactly what she said,  haha because, I'll be honest, I don't understand much. But during the lesson she said, "I feel such a connection with Hermana Christensen, I feel like her mom a lot of the time." Ahhhh it's so true! I feel such a strong connection to her as well, even though I've said maybe three sentences to her! I love her!! 

Monica came to church this week!! Ahhhh it was incredible! I started crying in the middle of sacrament meeting because... wow y'all this church is true!! I have never felt so much joy in my life, real joy. I don't know how to describe it. I was thinking about every little thing in church and what she will think about it. I thought about the sacrament, for what it feels like, the first time and what it actually means to remember Him. It is such a priviledge to be a representative of our Savior. 

We found this week Benjamin who was just sitting outside his house. He's an older guy and wears Hawaii shirts. He said, “Well while I'm here I might as well go to church.”   So we gave him a pamphlet and asked if we could come by on Saturday. We came with a member who was amazing! Benjamin said his whole life he has been trying to find the right church. He said he has looked into the Catholic church, Baptist church and many more. But he has never been baptized in any of them because none of them are true.  We gave him a Book of Mormon and the member said. “I can pick you up for church tomorrow if you'd like?"...and guess what...he came!! It was awesome!! We are excited to keep working with him! 

I loveeeeee TEXAS!! I swear every door we knock on and mention Jesus or God they will bear their testimony to us. Then we won't even have time to bare our testimonies (haha not actually)! So I just get strengthened by theirs! It is also amazing to knock on people's doors or stop by members where they tell us, "you are an answer to our prayers" or "I've been waiting for people of Jesus to come to me." It blows my mind. A few days ago we met a lady who was just sitting on her porch and we didn't even say a thing. She just began to cry saying, "I've been praying for angel's of Jesus to come to me." We had a great conversation with her! And we prayed together for her family! The gospel is amazing!!

In talking to Hermana C on the phone she said they had 12 investigators at church this week!  It was an incredible week filled with miracles! She said she saw the Lord's hand everywhere they went.  So amazing!  She was very conscious of sending this email out to other missionary friends, she didn't want them to feel she was bragging. "It is the Lord's work, and I'm just so blessed to be part of it right here and now!"
