Gracias a Dios

This week was great! Many many ups and downs! Over all though such a great week!

I survived my first storm here, not really but yeah sure! It was actually a huge miracle. It started pouring the second we knocked on this person's door so they obviously let us in because we would have been drenched hahaha then the second we walked into their home it stopped raining! We talked about Christ and our English class! People are so kind here!

We have continued to teach the Gonzalez family who have dates and they came to church yesterday so that is super exciting!!

Saturday night we were walking in a apartment complex when I guy barbecuing outside was like, "y'all mormons?" And we were like yay! He said, "hold on let me go put a shirt on and grab my books." Hahahaha...oh boy....let's just say it got bashy but actually not at all on our part. My companion handled it so well, I was so impressed! He then proceeded to tell us about many things about our church...haha like how we turn east and blindfold ourselves to walk towards the light...hahaha so we just sat and listened. He then said, "ok so what do you got for me?"...like waiting for us to fight hahahaha.  We just smiled and said well we believe this church is true and we love to share it with people. Hahaha then he just gave up on us, it was so funny to me! As we walked away his neighbor said, "he goes deep y'all we don't get nothing done around here." Hahahaha

Houston's super super fun! Everyone says, "gracias a Dios" like for real everyone! Whether they believe in God or not! Love you all :)
