Hey heyyyyy everyone! I've been out one month exactly, happy 4th of July, dang I love America hahaha but I will be there soon in about 2 weeks!! YAY! This week has been great, so many spiritual experiences!
Great news!! So my companion is doing great! Ahhh its been awesome! So apparently she had been taking medicine for her anxiety for years and decided to go off of it when she left on her mission, not sure why.. but we got here back on it and its definitely been working! She is so happy now and I absolutely love it! We work dang hard here! Its honestly the best!
This Sunday one of the coolest experiences of life happened to me! But I have to tell a little bit of the back story. During my freshman year of college in October I started to experience some vertigo, I was never nauseated but the room would be spinning constantly and I was at times unable to drive, do homework and etc. After many doctors appointments we came down to the conclusion it was due to stress! I had a friend offer to give me a priesthood blessing of health and to be honest I had never really received a blessing of health before so my first thought was, "well I'm not a baby, I don't need that" Oh boy was I ignorant haha! I think the reason I felt that way is because my mom's dad pasted away when she was young and my dad's parents were not active all growing so the priesthood was not something in my parents lives growing up and in my life growing up. But I received the blessing from my friend and I still recall many lines from the blessing! After I received the blessing in December eventually the dizziness went away! Since being on my mission the dizziness has come back (a lot worse actually) and after many weeks of it I decided to ask my district leader for a blessing! We just went into a small room and he gave me a simple but amazing blessing, I began to cry during the blessing because the priesthood blessing I received in December and now had 3 sentences that were exactly the same!!!! I was blown away, the priesthood is real and God does hear us! One of the most amazing experiences of my life!

This week we taught actual people!! Well they are members but actual people haha and in Spanish! Yesterday we did two Skype calls with some random members on Facebook haha! One of them was a member from Oaxaca! We spoke to him and asked the question, "When was the last time you felt the spirit?" and He said, "Oh wow, ummm today" He seemed a little shocked at the question and later my teacher told me that was her friend and he has been inactive since his mission, so when we asked that it really did occur to him, "Wow when was the last time I felt the spirit" It was very powerful. I was writing in my journal that experience last night and it made me realize we should feel the spirit every second day! Whether it may be from comfort, guidance, love or even happiness! The spirit is everywhere we just need to recognize it!
Everything is great here in Mexico, a few days ago there was some problem with the meat here and so many people got sick haha, apparently 30 people like extremely sick haha a few from my district, luckily I didn't have the meat that night (or any night, because I'm too scared) Haha so that was pretty funny! The latinos here heard that and said, "Los Americanos son niños" haha Americans are babies!! But yeah so I have less than two weeks here so I really need to make it count! I only get to experience the MTC once so I need to make it the best experience! But I am very excited to get to Houston and teach the people there! I love you guys and miss you tons! Dont forget to feel the spirit everyday this week, hahaha look at me making commitments already hahaha! Love you all! iiiYo se que el evangelio de Jesucristo is verdadero!!
