Thinking we could only email in Mexico (like the papers said,) we got this surprise email on June 13th, after ten long days without hearing from Brynne . . . we all downloaded the app immediately and got to facetime . . . so happy! And with the call we worked out how to see her pics on google pic.
"HOLA MADRE! I have a surprise hahahah if you get google hangouts I can facetime you!!!!"
Later that day we received the first email . . .
What up FAM???? ya know ya gurl hermana christensen out here doing the Lords work hahaha! WOW ive been out for ten days! crazy right?? something that is comforting is that will the longest you will ever not here from me (sorry hope that sentence makes sense) my English is just sooooo bad now hhahahaha lol NOT haha but yeah it will always be a week from now on! also i would like to apologize now for the next year and half for my grammar and punctuation hahaha! this keyboard is incredibly hard to type on so I wont be doing any capitols lol hahaha.Also its a mexican keyboard with an english style board so the keys are all mixed up so actaully i am sorry! I feel like ive finally joined the club of missions hahahah its crazy and soooooo FUN! I want everyone to know I am happy very happy! this is the best place on earth! the spirit is everyone and I also want everyone to know the members of Mexico are SOOOOO STRONG! I cant believe it !!! they are so faithful! ahhhh so much to say but my hands hurt from typing haha!
It really is such a privilege to put on a tag to be a representative of Jesus Christ! and Its only for so long so I know everyday counts and everyday is important! I love my Savior!
SPANISH
wow so much spanish its insane! I taught my first lesson three days in hahah it was probably horrible but a great experience! (ps that lesson was in spanish) hahaha ummmm yeah so my teachers only speak in spanish and everything is in total spanish the only time we here english is at devotionals which is two a week for an hour! literally im only a week in and my brain is already thinking and overwhelmed by SPANISH!
MY DISTRICT and COMPANION
They are amazing! I have never laughed harder in my laugh! everyday is the best and a new adventure with them! my companion is AMAZING! She reminds me of Maddie Crane just so happy all the time and full of energy! Shes from Gilbert Arizona and she has an amazing testimony! My district is the best! We are very obedient which is awesome because many people here are not! Something that has been hard for me is learning spanish because everyone came here and knew everything! I thought I knew a little bit of spanish but ummmm nope I know nothing! Hermana Gill in my district came here knowing the whole first vision hahah and I knew/know nothing!! but since ive been here 10 days I know the first vision, moroni 10.5, missionaries purpose and baptism interview! SOOOO much memorizing its crazy! My brain literally hurts when I go to bed! My district is all going state side to Tennessee, Boston and Houston!

I bought a notebook here for all the spanish andddd its been 10 days and Im a third of the way through it hahahah crazy huh? also another things thats cool, I have laughed everyday that ive been here just like the stake president has said! I check of a box in my journal if I laugh, and honestly ive never laughed harder here hahaha i cry everyday from laughter! hahahaha Hermana Owen is the funniest gal ive ever met!
MY TEACHERS
my teachers are the best! my morning teacher is so so funny he reminds me of austin a lot! and my afternoon teachers are great too! one of the teachers is from oaxaca! She is the most loving Hermana I have ever met! Shes 4,9 hahahahahahhahahah isnt that so funny but she hugs us everyday and kisses our cheeks! everyone here is tiny hahaha all of the elders that are 6 foot are giants hahaha but yeah I love her tons and she writes us all notes when we are sad! awwwww I love her! I can get a picture with her at the end of my 6 weeks!
But Ive made it! and I know I havent been out for very long but this is the best! Im very happy and the spirit is EVERYWHERE literally everywhere its amazing! I hope everyone is doing well, dont forget to pray everyday! Its mas importante! and I can tell you guys are praying for me! I feel that angels quite literally are carrying me here and on my right shoulder and left! I love everyone and miss you all! THANK YOU for the letters I love them! keep sending them if you have time! They mean so so much to me!
